On Monday I started a daily journey to read the entire bible in ninety days. Yes, you read that correctly, three months from now I will have read the entire bible. I have always wanted to read the bible all the way though, but I have always stopped within a few days. I saw this reading plan a while back and thought it a bit extreme. (Plus the name is rather cheesy and it kinda ticked me off with the unoriginality -- a common thing amongst us Christians. I am slowly working on my angst toward my brethren.)
Then I started to think this would be an awesome experience. As a competitive person I can see myself striving to complete this reading plan within the short time frame. Reading the bible in such a way might cause me to lose focus on the text, but I can't see anything wrong with reading the scriptures, you know, since I will be READING THE SCRIPTURES. This reading plan won't interfere with me normal bible study and if anything, I have a feeling this will only increase my passion for devouring the Word.
Anyone wanna join me?
Greg.
If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. -- John 15:7-9
